DATE & LOCATION

Photo shoots in Autumn are often the most colourful.

Photo shoots in Autumn are often the most colourful.

Once the form has been submitted, a date and location can be arranged. Appointments can be done at weekends which tend to be favourable to most customers, who work during the week. It’s also worthwhile thinking about what time of the year you’d like to do the photo shoot. All four seasons have their own merits and suits individual dogs better. For example, if your dog doesn’t like the heat too much then a spring, autumn or winter shoot may be favourable.

With regards to location, it can be done wherever you like, providing it is in within 3 hours from my location in King’s Lynn, Norfolk. This generally covers East Anglia, Midlands and London. The prettier the area, the prettier the photos, so think of the most eye catching places where you live. Many bookings take place in areas familiar to the dog(s) so they are more at ease and comfortable in the surroundings. When thinking of a route to walk in your area that fits in with the time you’ve booked, generally speaking, a walk which would normally take you an hour will take you 2 hours on a photo shoot.

Some customers have even travelled to Norfolk to see what countryside and beach locations we have to offer!

ON THE DAY

When everything has been agreed and the day comes, the fun can begin! Photo shoots are always  relaxed, fun and easy going. This makes it comfortable for everybody and most importantly for the dogs. When the dogs are happy and relaxed, their personalities shine through for them to be captured. As we make our way round the walk, it’s good to look for interesting spots to take a photo. It can be anything like a log or a bench,  but anything where your dog would look great so keep your eyes peeled. If your dog is well behaved and will sit and stay that’s great but if it is a little less obedient then not to worry, some of the photos most enjoyed by customers are the ones which are not planned! Although the booking is for your dog, I fully encourage you getting in on the action. Family shots often end up being the highlight of the shoot!

Props add fun into an image.

Props can make a fantastic addition to any photo shoot and makes it an even more enjoyable experience for the dogs. A favourite toy, ball… or anything that you care to bring along that can bring the images to life. The more creative the better! Capturing any tricks is always a fun thing to do, this is a showcase of how awesome your furry friend is.

Tasty treats have proved to be essential in keeping the dog happy, rewarded and focussed. So bring plenty along, i like to think of it as doggy wages.

With all this in mind, if you have any questions, please feel free in emailing me. So why not make an enquiry today and make some happy, fun and treasured memories that will last forever.
